My wife Jane is the GG granddaughter of Harriet’s brother Alfred Hardy and as a result this branch of the family is in Australia. I have recently been undertaking a lot of research about the family and so am fascinated to discover your website. We are visiting London in April / May 2016 if it was possible to meet, also hoping to visit Birks Gate. Would be delighted to hear from you. Stephen and Jane Gow.

Hi Jo Ellen Jacobs, I’m not sure if you are still monitoring this word press page? If possible, I would love to get in touch with you. I am local historian who lives in Walworth, South East London, where HTM was born. I’m part of the Walworth Society and we do a lot of history/ heritage work around our local area. It would seem this remarkable woman has largely been ignored/ forgotten or maybe just unknown and we would dearly like to rectify this and reclaim her as one of out own! I’ve not written too much here as I’m not sure that this will reach you. My email is neilcrossfield40@hotmail.com It would be great to talk to you. Thank you Neil Crossfield
